Summer beach wedding photographer at Villa del Palmar Flamingos, Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit, Mexico.
Doing a beach wedding during the summer could be super rewarding, however there is always the risk that the weather make plans change suddenly. Happily for Lindsay and Eric, what could ended up with some sad faces, turned out into a beautiful and heartful celebration of their love, perfomed in the luxury Villa del Palmar Flamingos Resort.

Besides getting to know this amazing wedding venue in a secluded but spectacular area, Caradee + Patrick’s wedding pumped up my heart so hard that I still get a smile on my face remembering it. Despite the more than one hour drive from Puerto Vallarta, everything, from start to finish was so rewarding.
Along with my good friends and vendors Macdai from MacEvent and Marcella Castellanos -the ceremony officiant- we were welcome by Nidia and the caring staff of Villa Palapas in the small town of Chacala. The place, the weather, and , above all, the good vibe these families and friends had was perfect. And everything kept the very same direction the rest of the day.
Finally, it could be added that another big takeaway I’ve got from this time was a reminder about why I do this. Whilst the bride was getting ready, her mom, a super nice lady ( who later suffered the blast of her firs tequila shot ) asked me: ” what do you like the most of your job? ” My immediate response was: ” all the love that’s around during a wedding day”.
Just a couple weeks ago I realized how fortunate I am for belonging to such a wonderful team: Staci Marquez-Nichols from Puerto Vallarta Wed , the wedding planner, Robin Manoogian, the minister and I, the guy behind the camera. What could ended up as a really bad experience turned into the dream wedding for Felicia and Luther, a couple from Philadelphia, who decided to have an small yet lovely beach wedding during their summer vacation in Puerto Vallarta.
Summer weather down here in Puerto Vallarta is delightful, but it becomes a bit tricky, sometimes, it takes a couple hours to make the perfect bright sunny day into a super heavy shower, which basically was the case. After some careful planning and advice from Staci and the bride, the time for the ceremony was set at sunset ( which, BTW, is amazing around here ) , but, a day before, weather forecast said storm clouds were approaching the area, and, sadly, this time, it was right. Clouds, rain and thunders were around most of the evening, leaving a disheartened bride in our hands. Luckily, our officiant, Robin stepped up and convinced Felicia that rescheduling to next morning would be the best option so she could have the wedding she was expecting.
It has to be said that Robin fell a bit short: next morning was totally spectacular, despite the time it was a hot day, the ocean was deep blue, the sky was filled with these fluffy clouds, showing the best scenery possible, and such was the happy newlyweds opinion when I shared the photos with them the next day, before they flew back to their home city.
So, thanks to everyone’s effort and skills we managed to share another magical moment joining together loving people’s lives.
